BodyDaemon add Google Maps Support
BodyDaemon, the Online Fitness Journal, has added support for Google Maps - making it much easier to record cardio workouts such as running, walking and cycling.
SURREY UK: BodyDaemon now allows users to plot routes of cardio workouts using Google Maps.
Jim McArthur, founder of BodyDaemon, writes: "As our member base grew, it became obvious we needed to improve the facilities for recording cardio workouts. This is a great feature, as it allows members to easily figure out how far they travelled without having to use an atlas or pedometer."
The route tracking feature has been well received by BodyDaemon's members. Long-term member Adsy commented in the Forum: "This is fantastic. I'll have to start doing more cardio!.
Many improvements are planned to the Google Maps integration over the coming weeks, including:
-
Remembering your last location;
-
The ability to save your routes, and view them in the future;
-
One-click access to your most recent routes.
To use the feature, simply add a cardio exercise to a workout, then click on the link titled "Calculate distance with google maps".
