|About User:||Hey, I'm 22 and married (yes, that's pretty young) :D |
I was born in South Africa and moved to the UK when I was around 10. I have a Diploma in music (drumming) and taught in schools for a while.
I left teaching to persue a career in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) working for www.keywebuk.com
So far so good - but it's not always easy to balance work and play. I'm sitting at work most of the day, so Body Daemon should help me stay in shape!
I'm currently working on Parkour. If you don't know what that is then Google it :) It's difficult but I'm enjoying "getting fit while having fun".

|About User:||Been a Sub-Unit Physical Training Instructor for 10 years. |
I am a big fan of Gym Jones and CrossFIT, and the underlying message and reasoning behind these modes of training. Life is hard, some sports, employment and lifestyle choices can be fatal if you falter or fail, it's hard on the body and on the mind, so train hard or go home.
Most of the work outs I post are either directly from these establishments or are variations of them (will have (MOD) next to the name). This is due to the fact that not all gyms have all of the equipment required for some of the exercises, especially Gym Jones workouts. Otherwise the workouts posted have been developed for personal training over the years or are sessions that I have conducted.
Any session that I conduct, be it for 1 person or 90 people I have tested prior to make any adjustments as required or I can honestly say that I can or have done it before. I believe if your going to make people do something, be sure you have either done it beforehand or are doing it with them. Don't pretend you can or have when you can't.
IN THE END YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT OR BE DEALT WITH!

|About User:||at the begining of last year i was probably the fittest ive ever been, and although i wasnt out running a marathon a week or bench pressing horses, i was of a reasonable standard and completed the climb of ben nevis, skaffel pike, and snowdon in 24 hours no problem at all. so as a bit of an experiment, and a great excuse to indulge, i have spent since may last year .... totally lettling myself go .... took up smoking again and hit them hard, drinking liqueur and chasing with beers, eating all manner of everthing i could ... so that now, begining of March ... i can see exactly how long it takes to get back to fit ..... i can tell you now that ive stopped the smoking and drinking as of midnight end of feb, and went on one half mile jog last night ... and for the first time EVER felt my belly bouncing around infront of me !! ... wierd feeling .. and quite unpleasant ! ... :) .... so .. here goes ... from zero to hero .. the trial commences ... wish me luck ;) |

|About User:||Hey everybody. I'm astuart08. I'm 21 years old. |
Up until about a year ago I didn't really do any sports or anything physical for most of my life.
I picked up skateboarding for a little bit in high school and lost quite a bit of weight doing that. But since moving to a different city where I wasn't too familiar with the streets and not skilled enough to go to a park, I quickly gained weight by living a sedentary life. I experienced that loss of self-esteem that comes along with that lifestyle. Mostly just playing video games and doing nothing.
About a year ago I moved to yet a different city and began going to a gym and becoming familiar with weight lifting and various exercise techniques.
My fitness progress was a roller coaster of ups and downs as my motivation came and went with the months. During times when money was tight, eating healthy was a difficult financial commitment and I made many mistakes like ordering pizza for several nights and eating fast food (it's embarrassing to share that haha).
Then a few months ago I finally said enough is enough and began hitting the gym harder than ever and began to make great progress. But as fate would have it, I was met with an arm injury (tennis elbow I believe it's called) and couldn't really do anything in terms of weight lifting, which is the bulk of my workout routine.
Well here I am now, working full time at a job that doesn't pay very well and living on the fat side again.
My arm has long been all healed up and so I decided to try again at getting into shape.
I realized that I would probably do a lot better if I had a way to record my progress and look back at how far I've come so that I could be proud of all my hard work. Which is what brought me here.
Well there's my story. It's long and boring mostly for my own therapeutic benefit. This site doesn't seem to have a very active community, so I would be surprised if anybody is reading this. But if you are, and you've made it this far, I hope that it serves to inspired you.
And if you live in the Salem area, hit me up so we can hit the weights together! I go it alone which sucks some times.
Anyway, enough babbling :)
