Hrm... strength increases, good question to be honest. Right now I'm not entirely sure.
I was a little concerned when I learnt that I managed to lose 1.5% bodyfat but also put on 1kg of lean muscle whilst I was trying to gain. A lot of people were of the opinion that losing fat and gaining muscle was exactly what anyone wants to do, however I was a bit concerned because I figured that I might have been putting a bit of a strain on myself to grow whilst eating up internal resources in the process. I wasnt expecting to have lost fat whilst trying to bulk.

To try and answer your question I'll keep an eye on how i feel. Now I've cut down on my calorie intake considerably (4000 + a day to about 1700) I was expecting to feel weak and run down, but the truth is I'm tolerating it quite well. If I manage to lose a bit more body fat and gain strength at the same time I'll be really happy, and to try and do this im going to do the same amount of weight sessions as I do cario but I'm going to encorporate a lot of working against my own body weight style exercises, like chins, dips, pressups etc. Get my body working in a way its not used to.

When I've worked out more about what you've said I'll try and give you a better answer, but initally no, im not expecting any strength gains!
