| About |
Hey everybody. I'm astuart08. I'm 21 years old. Up until about a year ago I didn't really do any sports or anything physical for most of my life. I picked up skateboarding for a little bit in high school and lost quite a bit of weight doing that. But since moving to a different city where I wasn't too familiar with the streets and not skilled enough to go to a park, I quickly gained weight by living a sedentary life. I experienced that loss of self-esteem that comes along with that lifestyle. Mostly just playing video games and doing nothing. About a year ago I moved to yet a different city and began going to a gym and becoming familiar with weight lifting and various exercise techniques. My fitness progress was a roller coaster of ups and downs as my motivation came and went with the months. During times when money was tight, eating healthy was a difficult financial commitment and I made many mistakes like ordering pizza for several nights and eating fast food (it's embarrassing to share that haha). Then a few months ago I finally said enough is enough and began hitting the gym harder than ever and began to make great progress. But as fate would have it, I was met with an arm injury (tennis elbow I believe it's called) and couldn't really do anything in terms of weight lifting, which is the bulk of my workout routine. Well here I am now, working full time at a job that doesn't pay very well and living on the fat side again. My arm has long been all healed up and so I decided to try again at getting into shape. I realized that I would probably do a lot better if I had a way to record my progress and look back at how far I've come so that I could be proud of all my hard work. Which is what brought me here. Well there's my story. It's long and boring mostly for my own therapeutic benefit. This site doesn't seem to have a very active community, so I would be surprised if anybody is reading this. But if you are, and you've made it this far, I hope that it serves to inspired you. And if you live in the Salem area, hit me up so we can hit the weights together! I go it alone which sucks some times. Anyway, enough babbling :) Cheers
