The forearm muscles lie between the elbow and wrist. The forearm is composed of 3 major muscle groups:
-
Brachioradialis
Responsible for flexing the forearm at the elbow.
-
Flexors & Extensors
Used in Gripping, and flexion/extension of the digits (fingers).
Functionally, the forearms are important in many gripping activities. They may be trained through isolation, or as part of
compound movements such as Deadlifts and Chin-ups.
