Biceps ("Biceps Brachii") are located in the Upper Arm. The main functions of the Biceps are:
- Flex the elbow
- Rotate the forarm
There are many Strength Training exercises that target the biceps directly, most of which involve the
movement of curling a weight, or resistance, from a starting position of a straight arm through to flexed (bent),
then back again.
The biceps are also an important supporting, or secondary muscle group in many compound exercises such as
Pull-ups, Rowing movements and Deadlifts. Many argue that the growth experienced through
compound exercises will be greater than that of isolation exercises alone.
